V1 Community Program, Custom Account Dashboard, Design System

Vuori’s V1 Community is a VIP program for athletes, trainers, and wellness professionals; offering exclusive perks and early access to product drops. But as the program grew, the experience stagnated. Customers were led to confusing flows, internal teams juggled manual processes, and in-store staff lacked the tools to properly support members-only benefits.

I led the UX strategy and redesign for the V1 experience, spanning Shopify, point-of-sale systems, and support tools. The goal was to create a unified, premium experience that worked for both Vuori’s customers and their internal teams.

I was responsible for the end-to-end UX across the V1 application flow, customer dashboard, and cart + checkout experience. I worked closely with Vuori stakeholders, developers, and support leads to ensure every decision aligned with real business and customer needs.

What Was Solved

We redesigned the V1 experience from the ground up, starting with an all new landing page and application flow that adapted to each user’s status. Behind the scenes, we gave support teams better tools to approve and manage memberships with less friction.

A major win was designing and launching a fully custom customer account dashboard on Shopify. This gave Vuori complete control over how customers managed their membership, surfacing V1-specific perks, order history, and support in a way that felt polished and on-brand. It also laid the groundwork for deeper personalization down the line, something Vuori couldn’t achieve with Shopify’s default setup.

On the checkout side, we ensured V1 perks applied seamlessly both online and in-store. We worked with Vuori’s retail team to enable real-time membership validation and consistent pricing across channels.

Final Thoughts

The new V1 experience made a measurable difference. Members now enjoy a consistent, premium journey from application to checkout. Vuori’s internal teams have better tools and fewer manual tasks. And by simplifying their tech stack and owning the account dashboard, Vuori now has a scalable foundation for growing the program without being boxed in by default Shopify limitations.
